Mardi grew up in Seattle, Washington with the belief that all she wanted was to love and be loved. In her naïve mind she thought this meant marriage, children and the cute house with a white picket fence. Believing she needed others’ approval in order to be loved, the path she took was that of pleasing people. At this — she became an expert.
Twice divorced and raising two children in her 30’s, she traded in the dream of the white picket fencefor success in the corporate world. Always seeking approval, she worked hard at being a success. While this paid off, it still didn’t bring her the satisfaction and love she really wanted.
Eventually, the toil of corporate success and being a single mother began to take its toll. She started questioning the meaning of her life, and for the first time looked inward. Mardi soon discovered that the love she had long been seeking could only come from inside her, not from anyone or anything in her outer world.
There was no area of her life left untouched once her healing journey began. This is an adventure Mardi expects will never end. In her words, “I’m not walking on water yet.”
Sharing her journey, and what she’s learned along the way, seemed like the right next step. Mardi is passionate about opportunities to ignite a spark in another’s life that starts their journey to love, peace and self-acceptance.
Mardi now lives in Scottsdale, AZ enjoying her two grown children and three granddaughters. Her favorite source of joy is watching and assisting people in the creative process of tight buds opening to full bloom.
